Alabama Beach Flag Support

Find troubleshooting steps, understand beach-safety information, and contact support for the Alabama Beach Flag app.

Safety comes first

The beach in front of you is the source of truth

Posted warning flags, signs, and instructions at the beach always take priority over the app. Conditions and flag statuses can change quickly. Follow lifeguards, beach patrol, law enforcement, emergency management, and local authorities.

Never use the app as the sole basis for deciding whether to enter the water. Call 911 for emergencies. The support email is not monitored as an emergency service.

To report a suspected discrepancy, email support@alabamabeachflag.com with the location, approximate time, and what you observed.

Quick help

Alabama Beach Flag depends on official and trusted public sources. Those sources can be delayed, incomplete, changed, or temporarily unavailable.

Flag or other information is unavailable

  1. Confirm your internet connection.
  2. Pull to refresh in the app, then allow time for the source to update.
  3. Close and reopen the app if needed.

Some source failures cannot be fixed on your device.

The app differs from a posted flag

Follow the posted flag and on-site instructions. Do not rely on the app in place of local authorities. Report the discrepancy with the beach, time, app display, and a screenshot when helpful.

Weather, water, tide, UV, temperature, or marine data is stale

Pull to refresh and check your connection. Official providers update on different schedules, so allow time for new information to reach the app.

The wrong favorite beach appears

Open Settings in the app and select the intended favorite beach. That preference also determines the beach used by widgets.

A Home Screen or Lock Screen widget is stale

  1. Use Refresh Widgets in the app.
  2. Confirm the favorite beach in Settings.
  3. Remove and re-add the widget if it remains stale.
  4. Restart the device as a later step.

Last-known or offline conditions appear

The app may show bounded cached conditions when current data cannot be retrieved. Treat them as last-known information, check the displayed context, and follow current on-site guidance.

Update or reinstall the app

Open the App Store listing and install the latest available version. If a persistent app issue remains, reinstalling can help; your selected favorite beach may need to be set again.

Report inaccurate information

Email support with the beach, approximate date and time, what the app displayed, what you expected, and a screenshot if available.
